Northern Uganda is a challenging place, marked by limited resources and frequent tribal conflict. Yet, God has planted the Nazarene Primary School as a beacon of hope amidst these struggles. Here, 83 children—each one a precious orphan—gather with nowhere else to turn. In Serere, where they live, medical care is nearly nonexistent. A child seeking help must travel over 30 km to Soroti, the nearest town, only to find that even there, supplies and medical professionals are scarce.

We feel called to support these children by covering their school fees for the term, allowing them to continue their education and receive the care they need. It would not take much to provide for all 83 students. Yet the need goes further. The school’s teachers, unwavering in their dedication, have not been paid in over a year. These faithful men and women continue to serve these children, even as they struggle to provide for their own families. The school also lacks essentials, such as uniforms, solar panels, and basic supplies, to create a stable learning environment.
