Pit Latrine Project - Rwakobo Primary School

Speakers for Africa is committed to improving sanitation at Rwakobo Primary School, located in Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda. The school currently lacks adequate sanitary facilities, forcing students to rely on unsafe, makeshift latrines that pose serious health risks. The absence of proper hygiene infrastructure contributes to the spread of diseases and negatively impacts the students' learning environment. To address this urgent need, the project will construct a gender-sensitive pit latrine, promote hygiene education, and provide essential supplies like handwashing stations. This initiative will create a safer, healthier environment for students and staff, fostering better education and well-being.
