In a little less than one month Speakers for Africa well be asserting their major goal of connecting Evergreen with Uganda through dance at December 6 Holiday Walk. Dance is a worldwide essential, enabling everyone to exhibit energy and self-recognition as we move to the rhythms in our head and body. Introducing Peak Academy of Dance to students and dancers at the Ugandan school we foster will be an enormous step in communicating our construction ideas, classroom progress and of course, love. With this agenda, we begin our tour of duty to equip our donor school with the answer to dire needs they deserve. We believe dance equals communication.
At present the board members of Speakers for Africa number nine and we are fortunate that each volunteer is completely committed to the school kids in Kampala. Beginning with a Ugandan worker in the field, an executive director and co-director here at home, we have accomplished most of our efforts. The vary day after our August 31st fundraiser, we delivered a tremendous load of food to the school we support. Once we find our feet on their school grounds in February we will begin construction of badly needed latrines. Too, each one in our team will be planting a tree on school grounds with students.
There is a lot to accomplish at this school before moving on to others in need. This is a 24 hour a day endeavor that is noticeably growing. Our team of Speakers for Africa are thrilled to assist Ugandan students, for we give what we can and ask God to supply even more.
