Education & Sanitation Projects in Uganda

Speakers for Africa is a U.S.-based nonprofit supporting education, sanitation, and student advocacy in Uganda through direct programs and community partnerships.

Our programs focus on improving school environments, expanding access to clean water, and supporting students through direct community partnerships.

With over 25 years of experience in Uganda, we bring deep local knowledge to effectively support vulnerable students and underserved communities. Donations go directly to impactful projects, with real-time updates that provide transparency and accountability.

Through live streaming and digital storytelling, we connect supporters in the United States with communities in Uganda—fostering cultural understanding, trust, and meaningful global relationships.

We are also developing partnerships between schools in Colorado and Uganda, creating opportunities for students in Evergreen, Conifer, and beyond to engage, learn, and grow together.

Classrooms Need Repair

Speakers For Africa is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports disadvantaged students in Uganda. We are raising funds to rebuild classrooms for students in Uganda. Younger children (many of whom are orphans) are forced to study in a building on the brink of collapse.

In Uganda, inadequate sanitation remains a critical public health challenge, particularly in remote areas such as Kiruhua District in Western Uganda. Poor access to proper facilities contributes to the spread of waterborne diseases such as cholera and diarrhea, which affects children and vulnerable populations.

PROJECTS

Uganda Youth Aid School

A nursery and primary school in Mbuya, Kampala, Uganda.

Over the past 4 years, we have supported various programs—from sports and tech to food, fees, and supplies.

Ghetto Research Laboratory

Self-made researchers experimenting with ways to clean up the environment.

Nazarene School, Serere, Northern Uganda.

Orphan students at this school need our help. With very little, we can help save lives in the severe conditions of Northern Uganda.

TLC Youth Center

The TLC youth center in Kampala provides sports, education, dancing and chess. These are essential outlets for young people battling the harsh living of underprivileged neighborhoods in Kampala.  These kids have a safe place to come to better themselves.
