From the classroom floor to a dignified desk
This year, we were able to move students from the classroom floor to a dignified desk. With the generous support of Dr. Chad Johnston and Amy Franklin of Summit Executive Cleaning, we built 50 desks—each seating four children, giving 200 students a proper place to learn. Our team spent hours at the mill carefully selecting the best lumber to ensure the desks would be sturdy and long-lasting. What may seem simple—a seat and a writing surface—has transformed the daily learning experience, giving children comfort, dignity, and a renewed sense of pride in their education.

Teamwork
At Speakers for Africa, teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated staff collaborates closely to plan, implement, and monitor each project, ensuring that every step is guided by accountability and transparency. By working together, we are able to respond quickly to challenges, share expertise, and maximize resources. This collective approach not only makes us more efficient but also guarantees that our donors see real, measurable impact from their contributions—building trust and delivering meaningful results where they are needed most.

Committment
We dedicated hours at the mill carefully selecting the best lumber, ensuring that every piece was strong, durable, and worthy of the children who would use it. This extra time and attention means the desks will last for years to come, providing stability, dignity, and comfort for hundreds of students.

Durable/Sustainable
The 50 desks we built are crafted from durable mahogany, chosen for its strength and longevity. By spending hours at the mill hand-selecting the finest lumber, we ensured that these desks will last for decades—supporting generations of students. At Speakers for Africa, every project is guided by sustainability. If we are going to invest in something, we do it right—building with care, durability, and purpose so that our donors’ support creates lasting change.
