Downtown Evergreen, Colorado Events 2024

There are some great events happening in Evergreen, Colorado this summer. Be sure to mark your calendars.

And, while you’re there, mark down our Speakers for Africa Fundraiser: AUG 31st | 6:30 PM | Cactus Jack’s, Evergreen, Colorado.

Tickets are only $25. That’s not bad for live music and proper World / Africa cuisine (and of course, stuff everyone likes), presentations art and silent auction.

We are raising funds to repair and rebuild a school in Uganda. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit has been supporting this school for years and recently helped with tablets and educational materials. Back in February (2024) we also provided jerseys and better equipment for a boys and girls soccer teams.

However, we couldn’t afford what they need most: a permanent/sound structure for the younger classes.

Unfortunately, these vulnerable kids are in a tough part of the capital, Kampala, and many are orphans. As we speak, their roof leaks and walls are breaking. The buildings with younger kids don’t get the same attention. It is in desperate need of repair.

We hope you can make it, but if you can’t, buying a ticket still goes to help— a lot.

When managed properly, a little bit goes a long way. Since 1997, I have grown up in remained intimately connected with Uganda. It has always been my dream to help my brothers and sisters in a bigger way, and thanks to generous donors, we can.
