DEFICIENT SANITATION: UNUSABLE TOILETS

ChatGPT Image Mar 18, 2026, 07_17_21 AM.webp

Unsafe sanitation forced children to use nearby bushes. This created serious health risks and caused many students to miss school.

Students no longer have to use bushes or miss school due to poor sanitation. A new four-stance pit latrine provides a safe, dignified facility expected to serve the community for the next 20 years.

LACKING ORGANIZED SPORTS TEAMS AND EQUIPMENT

Without soccer balls, jerseys, or structured teams, opportunities for teamwork, leadership, and school pride were limited.

New soccer equipment and jerseys helped form organized teams, building teamwork, leadership, and school pride. Equal participation for girls also strengthened confidence and promoted gender equality.

SANITATION = EDUCATION

Obstacles to education are abound in Uganda. If children don't have proper facilities, they may not come to school.

When we recognized the urgent need for sanitation, we constructed a pit latrine expected to serve students
for more than 20 years.
